What is G&M Wallet?
A money app for your personal finances and for money you share with other people. Track your own accounts privately, and use spaces for a partner, family, friends, roommates, work, travel or school.
How much does it cost?
G&M Wallet is free. There are no ads. If paid features ever come, we'll tell you first, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets, in portrait and landscape. Your data syncs between your devices when you log in with the same login.
Does it connect to my bank?
No. G&M Wallet never asks for bank logins or card numbers, and it never moves money. You record what you spend and receive, and the app does the maths.
Which currencies are supported?
Turkish lira, euro, US dollar and British pound. You choose a main currency when you start. Accounts in other currencies can be converted in your overview with exchange rates you add in Settings.
Spaces and sharing
How do I invite someone to a space?
Open the space and choose Invite people. Enter their email and their Profile ID. They find it in Profile → Profile settings.
There is no code or link to share: the invitation appears in their app, and they accept or decline it there. Only admins can invite.
How many people can be in a space?
Up to 10 people, counting invitations that are still waiting. You can be in as many spaces as you like.
What are the four money modes?
- Split expenses: everyone pays sometimes, and the app tracks who owes whom.
- Shared fund: one common pot. Expenses from the fund never create debts.
- Fund + splitting: both at once, like a trip kitty plus personal payments.
- Track Only expenses: everyone logs their own spending, and nobody owes anybody.
Can people in my space see my personal money?
No. Joining a space never reveals your personal accounts, and other members never see which of your accounts you paid from. They see only what is recorded in that space.
How do I share my finances with my partner?
Go to Share my personal finances, choose the person, and pick each account you want them to see: balances only, or balances and transactions. They can only look, never edit. You can change or stop sharing anytime.
You can share with people you're already in a space with.
Someone made a mistake in a shared expense. Can I fix it?
Only the person who made a record can edit or delete it. Leave a comment on the expense so they can fix it. This keeps everyone's balance trustworthy.
How does paying someone back work?
Record a repayment in the space. It counts only after the person receiving it confirms it, so balances never change by surprise.
How do I leave a space?
Open Space settings and choose Leave space. You can leave once you're settled: you owe nobody and nobody owes you. If you're the last admin and others remain, make someone else admin first.
Your login and data
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings → Your data → Export my data. You'll get everything you can see in the app as a JSON file.
How do I delete my login and data?
Go to Settings → Security & devices → Delete my login and data. This permanently deletes your login, your profile, and your personal accounts and records.
First, settle up in every space, and if you're the last admin of a space with other people in it, make someone else admin. Records you made in shared spaces stay there as "Former member", so other people's balances stay correct.
Can't open the app? Email [email protected] from your login email and we'll help.
I forgot my password
If you used Google or Apple to log in, use the same button again. Otherwise, email [email protected] from your login email and we'll help you get back in.
I lost my phone
Log in on another device, go to Settings → Security & devices, and log the lost phone out. Changing your password also logs out every other device. If you can't log in anywhere, write to us.
I'm not getting notifications
Check Settings → Notifications in the app, and that notifications for G&M Wallet are allowed in your phone's settings.
You're never notified about your own actions: only about what other people do.
Can I use the app offline?
You can look at your data offline: it's kept on your device. Saving changes needs an internet connection, and the app tells you clearly when it can't save.
